Emerson Network Power Data Centre on Wheels European Tour – Destination Dublin!

09 September 2010

Scheduled to visit Dublin on 28 and 29 September 2010, the mobile infrastructure offered by Emerson Network Power contains all it takes to deliver Business-Critical Continuity™ in both ordinary and extraordinary circumstances, as illustrated in the virtual tour and online on the dedicated Website www.datacenterinfrastructure.eu.

Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR), guarantees maximum efficiency for Business-Critical Continuity™ with an effective all-in-one containerized datacenter infrastructure that is currently traveling across Europe. On 28 September 2010 the mobile infrastructure is scheduled to visit the Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley, Liffey Valley, Dublin 22, whilst Dell Computers, Cherrywood, Dublin 18 is the infrastructure venue on 29 September 2010.

Disaster recovery, natural disasters and humanitarian actions, sports events, movie productions or, more simply, the quick expansion of a data center with no need for construction works, this self-contained solution provides a complete answer, whatever the circumstances. This is the first infrastructure that can move rapidly to provide full and efficient protection for IT infrastructures that support operations in ordinary and extraordinary circumstances.

During the infrastructure’s stay at both the Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley and at Dell Computers, guests will be able to experience the innovative solutions it contains, ranging from racks, UPS, power distribution and precision cooling, through to infrastructure management and monitoring software. In particular, guests will be introduced to the new Liebert APM, a compact double conversion online UPS that shows its environmental credentials by providing up to 96% efficiency.

Also prominent will be Avocent software for managing the physical infrastructure of data centres, that reduces operational risk and improves efficiency through the planning and management of data centre resources and real-time monitoring. Completed by Knurr Miracel Plus racks, Liebert MPX rack power distribution units and Liebert CRV precision cooling modules, this infrastructure is truly fully-featured and totally integrated.
