Incentive FM expands retail portfolio

Incentive FM has signed a three-year deal to provide a fully integrated and single branded service at the Standard Life owned St Marks Shopping Centre in Lincoln.

As part of the deal, seven existing employees will transfer to Incentive FM under the TUPE provisions. Also transferred from the managing agent is former Operations Manager, Rob Read, who will become Facilities Manager and will head up the on site Incentive FM team.
The contract award follows a competitive tendering process that was driven by newly appointed Shopping Centre Manager, Kevin Lockwood, who is employed by Jones Lang LaSalle. The decision to choose Incentive FM as its partner was driven by the company’s ability to provide a cohesive service designed to raise standards and drive down unnecessary costs.
St Marks Shopping Centre offers customers a one-stop shopping experience with an expanded range of familiar high street names including large retail stores. It is built on the site of the former railway station and incorporates some of the original buildings.
Incentive FM will provide a full range of FM and support services delivering benefits through a more efficient use of staff, the streamlining of invoicing and accountancy procedures and expert procurement and management of sub-contractors. This is designed to add up to a lower total acquisition cost for the Shopping Centre and accordingly, the retailers. However, improving standards, and level of cleanliness is the main driver. It will also take full responsibility for all areas of the car park.
Incentive FM now has an extensive retail portfolio including Crompton Place Shopping Centre in Bolton, Eastgate Retail Park in Bristol,Blackwood Retail Park in Blackwood, Cwmbran Shopping Centre and the Idlewells Shopping Centre in Sutton In Ashfield. The company has also undertaken major consultancy projects for Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent and Touchwood Shopping Centre in Solihull.
