Whittle Group shows further commitment to Teacrate

07 July 2010

Teacrate, the UK’s leading crate rental specialist, has received a 6-year commitment from the Whittle Group for crate supply services to support operations within their highly successful Business Relocation Division.

Following the recent appointment of a new Director and Business Development Manager, the Whittle Group has seen significant growth in the number of crates being ordered. As part of their contract, Teacrate will supply the Whittle Group with a large stock of their own newly branded crates in yellow with a black lid. The Whittle Group logo will appear in red on the sides and on the inside of the lid, which makes it clearly visible when Teacrate deliver the crates to Whittle’s clients on their behalf. The new crates have been designed to complement the new literature range that Whittle’s has recently launched.

The 6 year exclusive contract extends UK wide and will involve the coordinated supply and delivery of specialist crates direct to client locations. Teacrate’s national fleet of vehicles will supply crates as required all over the UK from each of its 8 strategically located service centres. Stock holding at the centres ensures product availability and speed of delivery with next day delivery as standard.

The Whittle Group’s Business Relocation Division is one of the UK’s leading and most experienced business relocation specialists carrying out moves on behalf of a wide variety of industry sectors, including industrial and pharmaceutical, museums, stately homes and the charity sector. Bob Willett the new Director of Business Moving says, " We selected Teacrate as our exclusive crate supplier because we know that they bring value to our customers and operational teams. Teacrate’s company infrastructure, product range and support capabilities set it apart from its competitors."

Teacrate offers a range of crates, packaging and handling equipment to the commercial moves sector. The Whittle Group will continue to benefit from the wide variety of specialist crates available to support them including computer crates (IT1 and IT2), book crates and a variety of popular multi-purpose lidded crates, such as the LC2 and LC3 standard lidded crates, which can provide practical storage solutions for all types of effects. Every crate supplied by Teacrate arrives spotlessly clean and ready to pack.

A key factor in the Whittle Group’s decision to appoint Teacrate was ‘Cratelink’ their 24-hour online crate management system, which allows them a direct interface with Teacrate’s system for real time tracking of orders. Furthermore, in just a few clicks Whittle’s staff can place or amend a crate order via Cratelink and specify or change collection and delivery details. Cratelink adds another dimension to the service offerings of Teacrate’s commercial moves customers, in particular, a higher level of flexibility and responsiveness.

Teacrate has become the supplier of choice for many commercial moving companies and facilities managers. Their extended relationship with the Whittle Group is evidence of the added value that Teacrate can bring. "We value very much the relationships that we have built up with our commercial moves customers, and the Whittle Group is no exception" comments Simon Johns, Sales Director with Teacrate, "We are delighted that Whittle’s have chosen to remain with us and I am confident that we will continue to work together to service the market’s needs to the highest level."
