Vanguard joins with GSG in healthcare partnership

Vanguard and GSG will now work side by side to offer a ‘total solution’ to the healthcare industry, whereby Vanguard’s provision of clinical mobile healthcare facilities will be bolstered by GSG’s logistics, FM and engineering services.

This partnership, according to Vanguard’s CEO Ian Gillespie, will provide ‘the ultimate offering of flexible healthcare’ and represents a sea change in the healthcare industry to the benefit of both providers and patients alike. “Our mobile healthcare facilities arestate-of-the-art and our engineers are highly trained and experienced,” explained Gillespie, “but, when it comes to offering an integrated facilities management service, we have not previously been able to compete with dedicated FM providers. In this unique partnership, we will be able to tap into GSG’s unrivalled FM knowledge and industry expertise, while they will benefit from integrating their services with our flexible and highly sophisticated facilities.”
The announcement comes as both companies embark upon ambitious ventures into the European market, allowing the new integrated service to be easily extended beyond the UK into mainland Europe, according to Duncan Jones, MD of GSG. “This is a partnership that makes sense in every way. Not only do we add value to each business and provide a service that is greater than the sum of its parts, we can take this service to the international marketplace without radically altering our individual strategies.”

As a result of the new partnership and in accordance with TUPE – Transfer of Undertakings (Protection and Employment) – regulations, Vanguard’s dedicated team of service engineers has transferred to GSG, with immediate effect. The engineering team will continue to work exclusively with Vanguard in managing the maintenance of the mobile units and ensuring the compliance and high standards of Vanguard’s services.
