Welsh wins for Vinci Facilities

FM services contracts have been won by Vinci Facilities at the Welsh Assembly Government and Welsh Water

Vinci Facilities has been awarded a three year contract worth over £2m to provide soft services to the Welsh Assembly Government (WAG), in addition to the integrated FM contract awarded to Vinci Facilities in 2008 to deliver services at the WAG office in Aberystwyth.
Vinci Facilities will be responsible for providing ‘soft’ FM services and Business Support Service roles including post room, portage, security and reception in the new WAG office in Llandudno Junction.  ’Soft’ FM services will also be provided at WAG’s other administrative offices within the North Wales region, totalling 14,989 sq m across Ynys Mon, Gwynedd, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham. Commenting on the win Tony Raikes, MD of Vinci Facilities said:
“We have a strong legacy of construction and facilities services in Wales; having been involved in the construction of the National Assembly’s Senedd building and Cardiff Millennium Stadium, as well as other landmark developments.  These contracts and the latest award by WAG consolidates our position as a long term strategic partner to the people of Wales through our policy of local employment and commitment to local improvement initiatives”
Vinci Facilities has also been awarded a three year contract to provide integrated FM services to Dwr Cymru Welsh Water the sixth largest water company in England and Wales that serves 3m customers. The contract, valued at approximately £1m per annum includes an option to extend for a further four years.
Under the agreement, Vinci Facilities will provide all hard and soft services to over 1,700 employees occupying 14 operational buildings across a number of regions including Cardiff, Camarthen, Flintshire, Pontypridd, Swansea and Mid Glamorgan. It will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the longevity of the buildings assets through the provision of a bespoke CAFM system, and 24/7 multi lingual help desk.
