Capita chooses MITIE for £140m FM deal

MITIE is to manage the national property portfolio of Capita, the UK’s leading outsourcing company. The contract will see MITIE operating as a facilities management agent+ in a six-year contract valued at about £140m.

The new partnership will support Capita through an innovative model that will combine the purchasing power and management expertise of MITIE with the in-house knowledge and local expertise of the Capita FM and its existing suppliers. Through the new partnership, MITIE will act as Capita’s FM agent+, managing the entire supply chain as well as providing integrated services and strategic expertise across the contract.
MITIE has developed its facilities management agent+ model to ensure that Capita is getting the best of breed services from an operational perspective whilst providing transparency of costs and savings throughout the term.
MITIE’s Customer Service Centre will provide a single point of contact for all Capita’s users, integrating with the supply chain to provide detailed real-time management information on the contract. This includes performance management, compliance information and data that will be analysed to identify areas where operational efficiencies can be implemented.
