European FMs and academics head for Spain in June

The programme for the European Facility Management Conference 2010 – the most all-encompassing educational and networking event for FM professionals in Europe – has been published. .

EuroFM and IFMA are inviting FMs from across Europe to come together in Madrid  on  1 and 2 June for  enlightening and  informative discussion at EFMC2010 focused on this year’s theme: “Integration of Core Business and Facility Management”. As detailed in the conference programme there is something of value for all facility professionals; and as in previous years, we anticipate a global representation of the industry in attendance.
Despite different world views and national cultures, FMs are all challenged by similar issues – from demographic changes to energy management and conservation.
Speakers include: Christian Kornevall, Director Energy Efficiency in Buildings Projects & Electricity Utilities, World Business Council for Sustainable Development; Jolly Kunjappu, Global Thinker and Management Consultant, Ex-Percussionist of the Rolling Stones; Javier Serra Maria Tomé, Deputy General of Innovation and Quality of Building in the Housing Ministry for the Spanish Government; Francisco Vázquez President and Owner of 3G Office Group, Founder and Past President of IFMA Spain.
EFMC 2010 will host two symposia: one for business and practice, and another for research and study thus bridging two disciplines with respect to one globe with shared challenges.. The Research Sysmposium will disucss topics such as  Added Value of FM, Performance Management Sustainability and Workplace Management.
The two day event also include a Gala Dinner at with the European FM Awards will be presented, and the popular  Student Poster Gallery Contest as well as other opportunities for networking.
EuroFM is a network of more than 90 organisations based in more than 21 European countries, all focused on facility management. They represent professional (national) associations, education and research institutes and corporate organisations.
