SGP 'baguettes' Subway's support services contract

SGP Property & Facilities Management has been awarded a new contract to provide equipment support services for the SUBWAY chain, and is a preferred supplier for rating services for franchisees in the UK.

The SUBWAY chain serves fresh, healthy, ready- to-eat food. Since the first outlet was opened in Brighton the chain has grown to over 1,400 outlets across the UK. It  operates a totally franchised model. EIPC is an independent franchisee-owned organisation managing purchasing and supply chain activities for SUBWAY franchisees across Europe. 
EPIC has appointed SGP to initially provide equipment support services to franchisees in the UK and Republic of Ireland, with a view to expanding the service to Germany.   The property team at SGP is also offering rating services; evaluating rateable value and negotiating rate rebates on franchised properties.
‘Our contract with SUBWAY has enabled us to develop a new on-line payment model,’ said Kevin Elliott, MD of SGP.  ‘Managed by our 120 seater help desk, SGP offers a critical service that has to be highly responsive and efficient to minimise disruption to the franchisee’s business.  We are working closely with EIPC to ensure that franchisees benefit from the efficiency of process and value our service provides.’
