MITIE to maintain Crawley’s housing stock

MITIE has been awarded a contract with Crawley Borough Council to deliver reactive maintenance and void refurbishments to half of their 8,153 housing stock.

This 10-year contract starts in April 2010 with an estimated value of £3m per annum. From April 2012, the contract will be extended to cover planned and cyclical works, adding a further £8.4m per annum for the remaining term.
Karen Dodds, Head of Crawley Homes, commented: “We were impressed with MITIE’s bid which addressed the values and experience we were looking for. We are confident that MITIE will help us to provide a first class service to our residents, as well as investment into the local community.”
Adrian Dawson, Director for MITIE’s Property Management team added, “We’re delighted to have been awarded the contract with Crawley Borough Council. MITIE’s focus is on delivering a first-class service to both our clients and residents. We’re looking forward to starting work on this contract so we can help improve homes in the area as well as supporting local people and businesses.
