Fire door Code of Practice brought up to date

A new, updated version of the Code of Practice: Hardware for Fire and Escape Doors has been issued by the Door and Hardware Federation (DHF) and the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) to include all the latest standards, Building Regs, Approved Documents and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.

The new Code is the only comprehensive and authoritative source of information available in the UK to offer focussed, qualified advice for   construction professionals on this vital subject. It offers information on  relevant products and standards to help and guide all those responsible for fire safety in buildings, regardless of the amount of knowledge they have of   door hardware.
The guide has been specifically designed to be simple, straightforward and jargon-free. It contains hotlinks to all of the publicly available documents  which it references including Building Regs, Approved Documents, Acts of Parliament and DHF Best Practice Guides.  The Code also contains a
