Balfour Beatty Workplace awarded FM contract by Qinetiq

Balfour Beatty Workplace has been appointed by QinetiQ, the international provider of technology-based services and solutions, to provide integrated FM services for a seven-year contract with a base-line value of £15m per annum plus additional fees for non-core services.

The contract will consist of the FM of QinetiQ’s portfolio of 31 sites across the UK. Balfour Beatty will be transforming the service, providing greater efficiencies and cost reductions to QinetiQ and will be responsible for mechanical and electrical and building fabric maintenance, waste management, mail, logistics, cleaning, front of house, helpdesk management and ground maintenance.
Commenting today Balfour Beatty Chief Executive, Ian Tyler, said:“We are delighted to be appointed as service provider for this contract by one of the world’s leading defence and security technology companies. We look forward to transforming the facilities management service to support QinetiQ’s ability to operate efficiently across all of its sites.”
