Ten country European FM win for Faceo

07 January 2010

Faceo has signed a strategic agreement with automotive parts and engineering supplier, Delphi, for facility management across its 30 sites in Europe.

Delphi and Faceo signed a five year strategic agreement to provide all FM services for the majority of this leading automotive supplier’s European sites. The scope of this agreement includes building maintenance, security and safety, catering, cleaning and landscaping.
Delphi is a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for autos, commercial and other vehicles. Delphi Automotive has more than 100,000 employees at 270 locations and 24 engineering centers in 32 countries. At the recent PFM Awards 2009, it was selected as winner of the Partners in FM – SME category with its partner Incentive FM for their strategic consultancy partnership. The two companies were also finalists in the European FM Awards in 2008. http://www.pfmonthenet.net/featuresarchive/article.aspx?ArticleID=19134

Faceo was chosen for FM services delivery after a selection process initiated in late 2008 that was led by Delphi’s Regional Global Supply management team and Operations Support Group. The contract deployment will be phased in the coming months across more than 30 Delphi sites located in at least 10 countries throughout the region. Moving from hundreds of providers to a single supplier, Delphi expects to generate significant savings while creating more flexibility and variability in the economic model associated with the provision of facility management services. The implementation in 2009 and 2010 of this innovative approach in the FM operations of several Delphi sites in Europe will constitute a further step in the establishment of the Group's strategy aimed at optimizing costs and modes of operation of its support functions.
The main reasons that led to the choice of Faceo were its pan-European coverage.  With a turnover  in 2009 €450m, Faceo directly employs 2400 staff and manages over 2500 sites representing 8 million sq m and 200 000 users. It also has a highly adapted governance model which is linked to the needs of multinational groups, its strategy of ‘Pure Player’ in FM, its ability to integrate the specificities of Delphi, and a financial proposal based on transparency through the method of ‘reference cost’ proposed by the provider. This methodology, designed and delivered by Faceo, is to examine the full costs of its customers and to engage in a significant reduction in FM costs, by the implementation of best governance and operating practices, and by pooling resources effectively.
Yannick Annezo: Faceo Senior Vice President of Development “Faceo is particularly proud to add a name as prestigious as Delphi to its list of multinational clients. We are pleased to have been able to meet Delphi’s expectations, which sought an FM partner capable of accompanying and serving them across Europe with the same consistency of services, while meeting the requirements of a multinational group. This contract strengthens our platform of services to global enterprises (Faceo Mainstream FM Services).”
Mark Andrews: Delphi EMEA Regional Director of Facilities, Real Estate, & EHS
“Delphi is pleased to partner with Faceo in this endeavor and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship that will both reduce Delphi’s structural cost and improve the facility management service provided to our internal plant clients. We are ready to move forward together and continue the intense efforts necessary to successfully implement the program seamlessly throughout the region.”
