NAGE signs up GSH for longer term

10 December 2009

National Australia Group Europe (NAGE) has awarded a five-year contract extension worth £4m per annum to GSH Group for a comprehensive FM solution.

GSH Group will deliver a full range of hard FM services to a the Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank portfolio of around 450 properties comprising High Street Branches, Financial Solutions Centres, Head Office properties and business-critical Data Centres located throughout the UK.
GSH Group secured the extended contract through NAGE's Property Outsource Provider, Corporate Occupier Solutions. The company is now contracted to provide the FM solution until 2018 including all M&E services, planned preventative maintenance and internal and external fabric maintenance. In addition, GSH Group will also operate a helpdesk to provide a single point of contact for incoming FM enquiries as well as undertake project management of branch refurbishments as part of NAGE’s ongoing improvement programme.
The operation will utilise GSH Group’s unique High Street Solutions service, where engineering resources are used across multiple contracts to reduce response times, avoid excessive travelling and achieve economies of scale. Around 350 engineers operate regionally to service up to nine separate customers in any one high street to ensure sites are maintained in a fast and efficient manner.
Stuart Cameron, Key Account Director at GSH Group said: “We have worked closely with NAGE to develop a solution that adds value to their operation and meets precise FM needs. Our partnership approach is designed to deliver unrivalled results that ultimately benefit their overall business performance.”
GSH Group is also responsible for NAGE’s energy management across its UK network as part of an initiative to minimise the environmental impact of the company. This has resulted in an 18 per cent energy saving across its portfolio of sites representing 4.5 million KWHs and equating to more than 6,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions. The reduction in energy consumption has contributed to NAGE becoming the first UK High-street bank to achieve the Carbon Trust Standard accreditation.
