Reduce your organisation’s electricity costs by up to 25%

Claude Lyons’ PowerSave Energy Saving Regulators cut electricity bills and carbon emissions by up to 25%. Further savings through extended equipment lifetime and reduced maintenance costs are also possible. PowerSave additionally secures users from mains supply quality issues.

Claude Lyons PowerSave Energy Saving Regulators reduce electricity bills and carbon emissions by up to 25%. As the UK mains supply quality comes under threat from growing demand and shrinking capacity, the security offered by PowerSave’s voltage regulation is also increasingly important.

The Claude Lyons PowerSave Energy Saving Regulator can cut electrical energy costs by up to 25%. At 240V, the UK mains voltage tends to be at the high end of electrical equipment specifications. The PowerSave controllably reduces this to a level more closely matched to the actual needs of onsite equipment. This reduction in voltage achieves savings directly through reduced energy consumption, and indirectly through extending electrical equipment lifetime while reducing maintenance expense.

PowerSave delivers greater savings and benefits than a simple fixed ratio step down transformer through tight voltage regulation and by its phase balancing capability. While cutting energy costs, PowerSave’s controlled output also ensures a secure and regulated voltage level for electricity users, without added harmonics. This will become increasingly important because UK voltage supply quality is predicted to deteriorate as demand increases and capacity shrinks. Electricity suppliers could react to these conditions by reducing voltages during times of peak demand.

Although designed for minimum size and weight, PowerSave’s rugged construction allows a specified service life of typically 20 years. PowerSave has a very low maintenance requirement and ROI within as little as 12 months is possible. A Carbon Trust interest free loan may also be available.

Claude Lyons provides voltage stabilising and regulating products to all sectors of industry. Users include Tesco, Hilton Hotels, Mitchells and Butlers, London Underground, the MOD, Mothercare and similar organisations.

The Claude Lyons range of products are designed and manufactured at their headquarters in Waltham Cross, near London. From here they are shipped to locations throughout the UK and internationally. Since their start in 1918, Claude Lyons has long been a world leader in electrical energy management and power conditioning technology.
