"I'll help smaller cleaners during recession"

26 August 2009

Bob Vincent, Executive Chairman of the national independent LCC Support Services organisation, has offered management support to smaller UK independent cleaning contractors during the current recession.

The offer includes a package of all non-cleaning activities such as BICSc and IOSH training, health and safety courses, site risk assessment, payroll and invoice management, access to equipment and a full management and HR back up service.

When making the offer Bob Vincent said: “I started from being a cleaning man with van and vacuum and now have a business employing 2,000 staff. I have experienced the barrage of new rules and red tape aimed at the cleaning profession and small businesses; and now have a wealth of experience and specialist training in house. We can advise on Financial Accounting, Human Resources etc using our own staff who are familiar with the problems relevant to the industry and could save smaller operators a lot of time, worry and money.”

He added: “When the going gets tough, the contractor must keep his eye on the job at all times as he could easily become distracted with those essential, but time absorbing management activities and regulations that someone else can do for him. LCC has the full capability and sense of community responsibility to provide that service to smaller companies in our industry, enabling them to grow their businesses.”

In the past two years of recession, LCC has expanded its operations into the North of England and is looking for small and medium sized contractors to work with on some of its national contracts. It is also considering acquisitions following its recent purchase of Quadra in Blackpool.
