SGP to maintain over 8,000 pubs

08 July 2009

SGP Property & Facilities Management has been awarded a new FM and maintenance helpdesk contract with Punch Taverns, the UK's leading pub company with over 8,300 leased and managed outlets.

The contract includes the provision of property and equipment maintenance for the managed estate of 862 pubs, the leased estate of 7,486 pubs and on-site facilities management at the recently-opened new headquarters buildings. A new web-based system has been developed to manage the reactive maintenance activity across the estate, introducing enhanced end user ownership and control.

"By expanding the scope of our relationship with SGP we have succeeded in creating a truly integrated FM team,’ said Steve Allen, Head of Facilities for Punch Taverns. ‘We have been impressed by SGP’s ability to develop new and innovative solutions that increase efficiencies and help us to manage our costs more effectively. The award of the on-site FM contract at our new headquarters is testament to how, by streamlining our operation, we are able to eliminate duplicated activities and report more seamlessly across our business."
