Incentive FM awarded contract by Fortis Life

24 June 2009

Fortis Life UK, one of the UK’s leading providers of life protection insurance, has chosen Incentive FM to support the organisation at its new Head Office in Reigate, Surrey.

Under the terms of the contract Incentive FM will deliver a TFM (Total Facilities Management) solution to operate the three-storey building - providing a full range of services including post, asset management, help desk, visitor management, maintenance, M&E, cleaning and vending, office plants and grounds maintenance. Two building receptionists have also been recruited by Incentive FM in readiness for the opening of the building.

Fortis Life UK specialises in protection insurance and it employs almost 3,000 workers in the UK, with offices in Eastleigh, Gloucester, Haywards Heath, Bournemouth, Belfast, Redditch and Stoke. The relocation to Beech House follows Fortis Life UK’s decision to move the majority of its operations out of London where it was previously located. The move to the new office, which currently caters for around 100 employees, is a result of its successful expansion into the life market in 2008 and represents a significant investment in both the company and the local community. .

Commenting on the deal Jeremy Waud, Managing Director at Incentive FM, said: “We were recommended for this contract by the head lease holder of the building Kimberly Clark, whose Head of Facilities, Cheryl Wells has known Incentive FM for many years. We have a number of contracts in the area and have been able to provide a comprehensive and cost effective solution for Fortis Life UK which is beneficial to them from both business and risk management perspectives. At less than 18,000 square feet, this building is another example of how some smaller buildings make perfectly viable and practical outsourced facilities management projects – I think there is a common misconception that unless a company has over 50,000 square feet of office space its not a viable TFM outsourcing proposition.” said Waud.
