Sainsbury’s outsource FM to ArcusFM

FM for the 850 Sainsbury’s store portfolio has been awarded to ArcusFM following a major review of the retailer’s operations

Having reviewed their facilities management operations to their 850 store portfolio, Sainsbury’s, supported by Larch Consulting, has now moved into the next phase of FM implementation following a tender for their facilities services. The initial phase of detailed root and branch review and analysis across all FM activities was undertaken over 2007 and 2008.

A tailor-made solution was developed, and following a stringent bidding process, a JV headed by Michael Cant of ArcusFM, was appointed in 2008 as the successful contractor to manage the FM contract for Sainsbury’s stores from February 2009.

Earlier this year Mike Cant decided to return to consultancy work leaving the ArcusFM organisation to be headed by Sainbury’s Chris Green.
