SARA BUCKS THE TREND

05 February 2009

In the current phase of the economic cycle when many companies are looking around at where the next orders are coming from, it is refreshing to see a company with the optimism and confidence to look forward.

Loading bay specialists sara are doing just that in very tangible terms. They have just recruited two new senior sales people as the first phase of their plan to grow the business, and to provide enhanced customer support. By way of introduction,
Paul Withers has worked for sara before and has shown his confidence in the company by returning in this key role for a second term. Paul will overlook the southern area, and brings with him a sound commercial background and experience in both the retail and industrial sectors.

Ken Oldfield is an experienced campaigner in the materials handling, industrial door and loading bay markets and he will focus on the north of the UK. From his early days as a project engineer in the textile industry, Ken has been a design draughtsman, sales co-ordinator and recently an area sales manager involved in lifts for the disabled. As well as spending some seven years with a loading bay company, Ken has also worked with a scissor lift manufacturer so his experience for sara is second to none.

Also of note is a reminder that sara celebrated 25 years in business in 2008 and has always been regarded as being a provider of innovative solutions using quality equipment. Its range of SPRINT high speed doors is a market leader with doors for all applications whether for internal areas in food production, machinery protection - for example - on say welding booths in a car production line or as a rapid open/close access door on the outside of a building. The sara lift is well known by retailers as a cost effective solution to loading and unloading of vehicles where a loading dock is not available. They are also used in manufacturing industry for a wide variety of applications including work positioning and differences in level and production lines. The famous range of sara loading bay equipment and industrial doors complete the product portfolio, and regular turnkey projects supply every product and service.

Seeing is believing as they say, and sara has a working demonstration of its products at its’ head office in Watford – and indeed many sara customers have made their first purchase having had the opportunity to look at a product and put it through its paces before making the buying decision.
