Faceo enters strategic partnership with SDI Group

04 December 2008

Under the agreement, SDI Group UK will work closely with Faceo to offer a complete range of services to customers including all automation and facilities maintenance, repairs and legislative requirements.

Faceo FM UK Ltd has entered into a partnership with the SDI Group UK, the leading specialist in the provision of integrated materials handling solutions, to provide a total site and warehouse maintenance package. This new maintenance solution will enable customers to have a single point of contact for all site related issues, removing the need to manage multiple contractors and reducing the associated administrative burden. Furthermore, SDI Group UK will be able to utilise the new partnership to drive down maintenance costs through multi-skilling, supplier reduction, efficient management control and added purchasing power.

Nathan Goudie, UK Maintenance General Manager at SDI Group UK commented: “Traditionally, the service provider taking care of warehouse automation would not get involved with the maintenance of the facility. However, at SDI we are continually looking at ways to support our customers’ operations, and this agreement with Faceo will provide an opportunity to save both time and money.”

Edward Macfarlane, Commercial Director at Faceo said: “SDI Group UK is a proven industry leader in the design, development and ongoing maintenance of automated materials handling solution, so we are delighted that they have selected Faceo as a strategic partner. Faceo has an established track record in the provision of high quality facility management services and we look forward to working closely with SDI to add value to their customers’ businesses.”

As both consultants and systems integrators, SDI Group UK, is able to provide clients with a total logistics solution package which includes materials handling consulting, as well as design, engineering, fabrication, installation and integration services.
