THE WORKING BUILDINGS INNOVATION AWARDS

The Working Buildings Innovation Awards in association with PFM magazine, offer exhibiting companies at Total Workplace Management the chance to celebrate innovation and business excellence in the effective and efficient management of a working building.

All categories are FREE to enter. Simply submit 500 words about why you think you deserve to win, along with 2 images. Please note that the maximum upload capacity is 2MB.

The awards will be presented to the winning companies during a ceremony at the end of the first day of the events, Wednesday 8 October 2008, at Olympia, London.

The Working Buildings Week Innovation Awards categories are:
NEW FOR 2008 - Introducing London Workplace of the Year
 Do you have the best office in London?
 Do you thing you have what it takes to win London Workplace of the Year?
 Have you implemented innovative lighting, creative ways of reducing waste, or introduced ergonomically designed workstations?

In fact if you have done anything innovative or new with your office, we want to hear about it! Simply submit 500 words about why you think your office deserves to be named London Workplace of the Year, along with 2 images and 3 testimonials from colleagues who use your office. The judges will be conducting site visits of the shortlisted entries to see your office in action. The site visits are likely to be conducted in early September.

Entries are only open to London-based offices, due to the judges' site visits. We will be aiming to launch a country-wide award next year.
The judges of the Office of the Year award will be looking for;
 Measurable improvements in reducing resource consumption and the use of sustainable materials
 Achievements in reducing carbon emissions by promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy
 New and innovative ways of improving corporate sustainability in business activity and products

Best innovation in green product or service
With the increasing pressure on organisations to ensure that their working buildings are as sustainable as possible, the judging panel will be looking at products and services that have a significant effect on the environmental impact of a working building.

Best innovation in low energy management
Over recent years numerous pieces of legislation have put energy consumption / management top of the boardroom agenda. Entrants should outline how an innovative product or service has been introduced to the market which results in improved energy management.

Best innovation in FM services
This category is open to any company that provides an innovative service that noticeably improves the workplace. Applicants should demonstrate the benefits the service provides to the workplace, the workforce and ultimately the business.

Best innovation in building services
Open to all exhibitors that have introduced an innovative product or service to the building services market within the last 12 months. Entries should clearly display how their product provides a practical solution for a building services issue.

Best product innovation
This category is open to any exhibitor that provides an innovative product that noticeably improves the workplace. Companies should detail the benefits the service provides to the workplace, the workforce and ultimately the business.

Best innovation in health & safety
Open to all exhibitors, candidates should clearly illustrate how a product or service that has been introduced to the market within the last 12 months has assisted those responsible with the health and safety of staff within a workplace to reduce the number of accidents and potential hazards.

Deadline for entries is Friday, 12 September 2008.
