Waste management shareholder buyout confirmed

29 April 2021

Nottinghamshire-based Greenzone Facilities Management has announced the completion of a buyout of the business by its shareholders.

Following the completion, Louise Taggart has been promoted to the role of managing director, after joining the company three years ago as legal director.

Ms Taggart is a solicitor and chartered governance professional who has over 20 years' experience in the waste management sector.

The company has recorded a turnover of £17m and has a staff of 75 employees, with headquarters in Newark.

Ms Taggart said Greenzone had "risen to the challenge of the past year" by listening, learning and adapting.

"Where there is change, there is opportunity, and the legacy of the pandemic for Greenzone is innovation and bigger thinking.

"Our people and relationships are the key to our success, so we will be looking to invest in and nurture both," she said.

The buyout was completed with assistance from Virgin Money, with further support from DWF Law, FRP, Mackenzie Spencer and Nelson's Solicitors.
