C&C buys Interserve Healthcare division as part of 'ongoing' business plan

01 December 2020

Interserve Group has confirmed it has sold its Healthcare business to City & County Healthcare Group (C&C) for an undisclosed sum.

The deal was confirmed on the same day that the sale of the Interserve FM division to Mitie was officially confirmed.

Operating across England, Scotland and Wales, the Healthcare business is a provider of complex and critical services to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions.

Operating in 200 locations around the UK across all homecare sectors, C&C lays claims to being one of the largest providers of homecare services.

Interserve chair Alan Lovell described the move as part of the company's "ongoing progression of our business plan", designed to protect core businesses while providing "an excellent future for colleagues within the businesses we have sold".

C&C chief executive James Thorburn said the immediate focus will be "maintaining the quality of service Interserve Healthcare is recognised for".

Future plans include investment to further develop the company's services and its use of technology, he said.

Further to the two deals mentioned above, Sky News has also reported that Interserve is intending to seek a buyer for its RMD Kiwkform equipment services division in the New Year.
