HE Simm creates end to end solution through the integration of its companies

23 November 2020

HE Simm has announced the strengthening of its offering - creating a new Integrated Services division, bringing its fire & security and FM business - HESIS and H&S consultancy - Aspen Thorn, under one ‘group of companies’.

HE Simm, HESIS and Aspen Thorn were founded in Liverpool in 1948, 2007 and 2012 respectively and have since become leaders in their specialist fields of expertise - in their own right.

The companies work for customers UK-wide, in sectors including residential, hotels & leisure, student accommodation, education, healthcare, public sector and commercial.

HE Simm provides MEP solutions, HESIS delivers fire & security and M&E installations along with hard FM services, whilst Aspen Thorn delivers H&S consultancy services. Under a group umbrella, the company will operate as two divisions.

The first, Engineering Services, will offer design, offsite and MEP solutions, whilst the second, Integrated Services, will provide facilities management, special project installation, fire & security solutions and CDM and health & safety consultancy expertise.

As part of the integration - Gareth Simm, Managing Director for HE Simm, takes on a new role as CEO for the Group.

Greg Simm and John Lennie become Managing Directors for the Engineering Services division in the North and South of the UK respectively and Barry Juggins, Managing Director of HESIS, takes on a wider role as MD for the Integrated Services division.

Gareth Simm, CEO, for the HE Simm Group, comments: “As three separate businesses, HE Simm, HESIS and Aspen Thorn have, over the years, developed first class solutions for customers in their respective areas of expertise.

“They will still provide solutions in their fields in their own right, but this move allows us to create much more bespoke and tailored solutions for customers - bringing our skill sets together in a much more joined up way - whenever there is an opportunity to do so.

“This will present significant benefits to our customers providing an end-to-end solution that often they ask us for.

"HE Simm has a proud history of continually innovating to meet customers’ needs and the integration of our companies into one group is the latest example of this.”

Barry Juggins, Managing Director, for the new Integrated Services division, adds: “I am very excited about the integration of the businesses and to us being recognised for being able to deliver end-to-end solutions with benefits for customers that will be seen from the CDM and planning phase, through to installation and aftercare – all with safety at the core.”

Together the HE Simm Group of companies will operate nationwide with offices in Warrington, Liverpool, London and Crawley.
