£10m property portfolio maintenance framework for Notts Council

05 August 2020

Contracts worth a total of £10.6m are included in a new framework that has been designed specifically for local SME service providers.

Launched by the Arc Partnership, which is a joint venture between the council and public sector procurement provider Scape Group, it currently includes 11 businesses working across 12 lots.

Contracts for repairs, servicing and maintenance will be offered to the SME providers to cover the next three years.

The framework is part of the partnership's support for a supply chain of more than 40 specialist service providers.

There has been a greater focus on engaging with SMEs within the public sector in recent years and the use of local providers is also intended to provide benefits to the local Nottinghamshire economy.

An estimated 12,000 planned and reactive repairs will be completed through the framework every year for the next three years.

Formed in 2016, the Arc Partnership has delivered more than 1,600 projects for the council with a value in excess of £172m.

These have completed at schools, offices and commercial premises and include refurbishment works, planned maintenance, responsive repairs and servicing, in addition to third-party projects.
