FM Marketplace launched by CCS

01 July 2020

Buyers of FM services from the government and the public sector have been provided with a new online procurement marketplace by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS).

The Facilities Management Marketplace portal has been designed to offer a simplified procurement route for customers.

It will include a wide range of FM services and these will be quicker to procure for clients using the portal, says the CCS.

"Over the coming months, the CCS will be working with our customers to gain feedback to allow us to improve and develop the portal to meet customer needs," said the statement.

In addition to providing a more intuitive online procurement process, the new portal is designed to offer a "compliant route to market for both further competition and direct award", said the CCS.

It will allow clients to shortlist suppliers by location and estimate total contract cost.

Clients will additionally be able to store information about their facilities within the portal and update the information when necessary.

Users of the supply teachers, management consultancy or legal services digital portals are able to access the new FM Marketplace by using the same login details.

Those wishing to access the portal can do so here.
