Restructure announced for Mace FM division

20 May 2020

Changes have been announced by Mace for its Operate division, which provides a range of FM services to both public and private sector clients.

Perhaps the most notable of these is that it will no longer use the Macro brand and will adopt the Mace Group corporate identity.

The company stated that this was part of its plan to integrate Operate with its wider business operations and enable it to provide "more cohesive services drawing on the wider built expertise" from its consultancy, construction and development divisions.

Its intention is to build further on the FM management and consultation services for workplace experience, portfolio efficiency and asset management.

Formed in 2002, Operate has formed long-standing partnerships and currently employs more than 1,000 staff, serving clients in over 40 countries.

Joining the Mace corporate identity is intended to assist the division in delivering further growth through use of the group's existing client base.

Operate chief executive officer Ross Abbate has been joined by new management team members, including UK and Europe managing director Marlies Hoogeboom, Centre for Excellence director Nick Garniss and Workplace Experience director Maud Santamaria.

Mr Abbate has additionally introduced a new focus on delivering exceptional workplace experience for clients.
