UKWSL wins Best Business Award

18 May 2020

UKWSL is one of the UK’s leading waste brokers. The Newark based business which provides services to business across the UK, was recognised for its innovative approach to sustainable waste management.

The BBAs pride themselves on having a large panel of independent expert judges who select winners according to strict criteria for each category and sector.

Commenting on UKWSL, the winner in the Best Small to Medium-sized Business category, the chairman of the judges said: “Congratulations to UKWSL for making a tremendous contribution to improving waste management particularly in the area of landfill diversion.

"It has saved 99% of its clients’ trash from landfill sites, which has helped them reach their target of zero waste going to landfill sites.

"This is a fantastic achievement that has resulted in UKWSL being identified as one of London Stock Exchange Group’s 1,000 companies to Inspire Britain and one of the fastest-growing SMEs. With waste management a major issue, it’s great to see positive action being taken.”

Upon receiving the award, UKWSL’s Managing Director, Max Kanda, said: “Here at UKWSL we pride ourselves on our ability to realise the environmental, financial and social benefits of sustainable waste management.

"It’s always positive to have independent validation of your credentials and we look forward to helping more and more UK businesses to increase their recycling rates and eliminate waste to landfill.”

The Best Business Awards are one of the UK’s highest profile awards and winning this accolade speaks volumes about the quality of your organisation.

Due to its high profile, the Awards attract a wide range of entries from across all sectors from large international PLCs and public sector organisations to dynamic and innovative SMEs.

The winners all have one thing in common – they are truly excellent at what they do and UKWSL have proved this by winning a Best Business Award.
