Security division joins specialist service provider

03 February 2020

Confirmation of the acquisition of the Lynx Security division from Incentive FM Group has been received today from Bidvest Noonan for an undisclosed sum.

As a result, the business will adopt the identify of its new owner and its contracts will transfer to Bidvest Noonan, with no redundancies resulting from the transaction.

The sale was described as a strategic decision by Incentive FM Group to allow it to focus on its core capabilities of its five trading companies.

It was further stated that the two companies will work closely together to support ongoing operations.

Bidvest Noonan chief executive officer Declan Doyle described the move as a "great fit for us in terms of the staff and the customer base and we are excited by this opportunity".

Incentive FM Group chairman Jeremy Waud said the "highly competitive" nature of manned guarding means margins "are better suited to a larger organisation that can apply the economies of scale".

"We will continue to provide security services directly as part of a TFM or multi-service contract to both existing and new customers through Incentive Facilities Management, including Bluewater Shopping Centre and numerous other key sites around the UK," he said.
