Nominations open for Young Manager 2020 award

09 October 2019

Designed to provide recognition for talented FMs, the Workshipful Company of Pattenmakers has opened nominations for its Young Manager Award for 2020.

FMs aged between 21 and 32 can be nominated by their employer, with the final deadline for submissions on 11 November.

Shortlisted finalists will then be invited to attend an interview on 29 November in London.

Although formed to support the footwear industry, the Pattenmakers has extended its remit to include both the FM sector and construction.

Winners of the Young Manager Award receive expert support to create a varied and bespoke personal development programme.

Included within this are off-site courses and a programme of customised work placements designed to broaden their perspective.

These programmes are developed in consultation with the winner's employer and/or their line manager.

The winner also receives a small financial bursary from FM consultancy Glennister Associates.

The winner of the 2020 Young Manager Award will be announced by the Lord Mayor of London at the Pattenmakers' Annual Banquet within London's Mansion House in January.

They will receive the Freedom of the Worshipful Company with the opportunity to apply for the Freedom of the City of London in future.

This year's award was presented to Hermes FM Wayne Young at the Pattenmakers' banquet last January.

Further information about the award is available here.
