Focus on student living experience for new research

24 April 2019

Launch of the Campus Experience Survey 2019 has been announced by College and University Business Officers (CUBO) to provide an overview of the student living and residential experience.

Response from members of the CUBO organisation will be used to create comprehensive data sets that will assist universities to shape their services for the future.

The research is also intended to provide an essential reference point for supply partners and stakeholders, it states.

The association further explains that the study is "just one step in a dynamic, ongoing annual research programme" it is developing for the benefit of members.

In addition to the above, CUBO will stage its Residence Life Conference on 7 and 8 May at Holywell Park, Loughborough University.

This will include the 2019 Residence Life Awards and will also explore the issues facing universities as they develop their campus services.

It is the third in a series of residential learning programmes for managers to support their careers and the development of residence life in the UK.

Non-executive director Julie Barker said: "Never has the campus experience been more important for students – it has changed dramatically in the last decade, in line with changing demographics and student needs.

"And, today universities will be looking at how they invest in the infrastructure and services of the future, to maintain, and build, on the UK’s reputation as providing some of the best higher education facilities in the World."
