Another 4 years for Faceo and Lothian and Borders Police

09 June 2008

Following an open market tender process, procured through the City of Edinburgh Council, Faceo FM UK Ltd has signed a new 4 year contract with the Lothian & Borders Police Board to provide a full repairs and maintenance management service

Faceo FM UK Ltd has provided a full repairs and maintenance service to Lothian & Borders Police for 5 years since 2003. Faceo successfully assessed Lothian & Borders Police’s buildings and assets to provide an exhaustive planned and reactive maintenance programme. With a dedicated team of Faceo technical and engineering specialists, Contract Manager Graeme Smith has developed the systems in line with Lothian & Borders Police requirements to ensure that service requests and reporting requirements are of the highest quality. Graeme’s team is assisted with this through Faceo’s 24-hour dedicated helpdesk which has recently relocated from Cathcart to Govan.

The tender for a new four year contract was formally signed by Lothian & Borders Police Chief Constable
David Strang and Faceo’s Chief Executive Chris Kenneally. Faceo have committed to extending their
provision to Lothian & Borders Police by recruiting additional staff to the existing contract resource pool. This
is to meet the extended range of services demanded under this contract as well as continuing with Faceo’s
innovation programme especially focussing on energy management which will assist Lothian & Borders Police with their efficiency targets.

Faceo are delighted to have the chance to extend our relationship with Lothian & Borders Police and look
forward to the next five years of providing efficient quality services to Lothian & Borders Police and its
stakeholders.
