Carillion secures £15m FM contract from Yell in the UK

17 April 2008

Carillion commenced on 1st April a £3m 5-year contract with Yell to deliver FM services at locations across the UK including its head office in Reading . Under the terms of the contract, Carillion will deliver services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, security, helpdesk and reception at 42 locations nationwide.

John Platt, managing director of Carillion Facilities Management, said: “We are delighted to have won this new contract and to continue a relationship with Yell that was forged initially by Alfred McAlpine before its acquisition by Carillion. We are providing Yell with a Total Facilities Management service which builds on the previous technical services solution delivered by McAlpine. In the next couple of years, Carillion will be assisting Yell with its move into a new headquarters in Reading, and we will use all of our expertise to ensure the new building is fully maintainable and the relocation process is professionally managed. We are now looking forward to developing a mutually beneficial partnership with Yell over the next five years.”
