Acquisition aids company's expansion into Scotland

Outreach Access has been acquired by AA Access, part of the High Access Maintenance Group, for an undisclosed sum.

The company's new owner has stated that the business was purchased with a view to extending its reach into Scotland.

Based in Falkirk, Outreach Access provides platform hire services across Scotland and North East England.

The acquisition has further extended the group's fleet fleet offering, following its purchase of AA Access last year.

Thirteen Outreach Access employees will transfer to the group's AA Access division.

High Access was established in 2005 by chief executive officer Niel Bethell and provides maintenance and cleaning services to the commercial, industrial and residential property sectors.

The company received an investment of £3.3m from BGF and this was followed by an additional sum to fund the latest deal.

Mr Bethell described the purchase of Outreach Access as "highly complementary" to the group, providing "significantly increased geographic coverage" to further enhance its service provision.

"We stand apart from the rest of the industry because we directly employ our teams and own our machinery," he said.

The group has stated that it will continue to consider further acquisitions with complementary clients or locations.
