Amey is preferred bidder for Home Office

The Home Office has announced that Amey has been awarded provisional preferred bidder status to carry out property services on sites supporting the Home Office and Ministry of Justice.

The contract spans five years, with a possible two-year extension. The contract will involve cleaning and housekeeping; mechanical and electrical maintenance; grounds maintenance; catering and hospitality; waste management; reception management; portering; security; energy management; minor and project works management (including space management/churn). Amey will carry out the work in London, the South East and East Anglia. This contract was one of three won recently by Amey worth circa £750 million (1 billion Euros), the others being highways contracts in Hampshire and Hertfordshire.
