Latest FM consolidation move announced

12 October 2017

Slough-based High Access has announced the acquisition of truck-mounted platform business AA Access for an undisclosed sum.

It is the latest of a number of recent moves and further endorses the changing nature of the FM sector, with a number of companies expanding through the strategic purchase of others providing relevant services.

High Access secured a £3.3m investment fund from BGF in July last year to allow it to pursue its aspirations for further growth.

It reports that the acquisition of AA Access will see its clients reap the benefits of an enhanced fleet of fully-owned machinery.

This will support its objective of moving into new sectors while delivering further growth through high service levels, it stated.

The business was established in Manchester in 2005 by chief executive officer Neil Bethell and offers a maintenance and cleaning service to the commercial, industrial and high-end or high-level residential property sectors.

AA Access was formed by Andy Ainsworth in 2003 to provide a rental service for access platforms and he will remain with the business, with Neil and Adam Bethell also becoming directors of the company.

It was further reported that the AA Access team will also transfer over to the new owner.
