CMG partners with PFM Awards 2017

17 May 2017

It is with great pleasure we can announce the British Association of Removers’ specialist Commercial Moving Group (“CMG”) has formed a valuable alliance with PFM, a leading facilities management journal working in the FM industry for over 20 years.

With commercial moving planning and delivery now being a major aspect of a Facilities Manager’s role, the CMG has long been working to raise awareness of CMG and its’ quality assured mover members within this sector.

Over the last few months CMG has been formulating a package with PFM to offer mutual benefits to both the CMG membership and PFM, and we are pleased to inform our members that an additional category of “Partner in Relocation” has been reintroduced to the suite of awards at the prestigious annual PFM awards ceremony to take place at the The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London on Wednesday, 1st November 2017.

This award category was laid dormant following the sad passing of PFM’s former Editor Peter Middup in November 2011.

Peter was a firm believer in the commercial moving sector and with his PFM colleagues they often attended BAR and CMG conferences.

With his passion for the Group he developed a Moving Trends Survey delivered as part of the CMG presentation at Conference.

The survey was conducted though the PFM readership and was both engaging and informative revealing levels of awareness of individual Commercial Movers in the eyes of the facilities management sector readership.

Year on year this was carried out and every year as the table moved around so you could see the varying impact member companies were making in the market.

In addition to the reintroduction of the Partner in Relocation award, we have pleasure in announcing we have also secured the return of the “Moving Trends Survey” for 2017 and we will be inviting a senior member of PFM group to deliver the survey at a future event.

The award is being sponsored solely by the CMG and Nigel Shaw the Chairman of the CMG, Sarah Cole immediate past Chair of the CMG along with Ian Studd the President of BAR will be presenting this prestigious award at the event.

CMG are focused on building our brand awareness within the sector by offering case studies, editorials and news of the commercial moving industry, to be published in the PFM magazine, to get CMG membership in front of our target audience.

PFM will also be publishing CMG advertisements over the next 12 months.

Each CMG member will receive a free copy of the PFM magazine and will be invited to supply content to strengthen the impact of the CMG through this new alliance.
