Johnson Controls to provide FM at Manpower HQ in US

01 November 2007

The FM contract for Manpower's new world HQ and offices in the US and Canada has been contracted to Johnson Controls

Agreements cover field offices and new world headquarters in United States and Canada
Manpower Inc., a world leader in the employment services industry, recently appointed Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions to provide facilities management services for its 280,000-square-foot headquarters in Milwaukee, US. The company also renewed a contract for Johnson Controls to manage the facilities for a growing network of corporate-owned field locations serving Manpower and its Right Management and Jefferson Wells subsidiaries throughout the United States and Canada. The agreements run until 2010 and provide Manpower with a professional, single-source management team for its dynamic facilities.

“Johnson Controls has more than proved its value by saving us more than $15 million since 2001,” said Jennifer Dettman, Manpower’s director of strategic sourcing and corporate real estate. “We are confident that the depth and efficiency of their integrated solutions will deliver bottom-line benefits for us. And, we welcome the assistance of Johnson Controls in bringing the Manpower brand to life for employees and visitors to our new world headquarters.”

The field offices contract calls for Johnson Controls to manage real estate, design and project management services such as site selection, construction management, vendor management, field incidentals and lease database administration. It also will include any new offices that are opened during the duration of the contract. The scope of work for Manpower’s world headquarters, which opened in September, includes coordinating the relocation of 900 employees, building repair and maintenance, security and heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) services. Johnson Controls has maintained a hands-on role from conception of the project, including site selection and construction management. "Johnson Controls real estate services provided Manpower with a new, cost-effective, state-of-the-art facility."

Global WorkPlace Solutions fulfills demands from businesses for a single supplier who can deliver end-to-end, integrated corporate workplace services. “The result is improved efficiency and reduced costs,” said Steve Quick, executive vice president, Global WorkPlace Solutions. “It also allows our customers to focus on their core business operations.”
