Matthew Hall rebranded

Following the acquisition of AMEC`s Building and Facilities Services Division by SPIE S.A., the Matthew Hall name has returned under the banner of SPIE Matthew Hall.

The acquisition places the SPIE group at No2 in the European Multi Technical and support Services sector specialising in electrical, mechanical and HVAC engineering, FM, energy, communications, networks and transport infrastructure.

In 2006 The SPIE group generated turnover of € 2.7 billion. SPIE Matthew Hall employs approximately 2,300 people and operates throughout the UK with offices based in London, Heathrow, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Wakefield, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Commenting on the re-appearance of the Matthew Hall name, Jack McDavid, HVCA head of communications said “.Being one of the first members of the HVCA when the organisation was started in 1904 and one of the biggest players in the M&E industry, its re-emergence and fortunes are of major relevance to the industry as a whole. Matthew Hall is a name which has a history, profile and considerable status in the industry and many there would be pleased to see it return”
