BIFM Rising FMs special interest group launched

A new 'Rising FMs' special interest group (SIG) has been launched by the BIFM to bring together those who are keen to develop their career and are new to facilities management or the Institute.

The new group, chaired by Ismena Clout deputy chair of the BIFM London region, will encourage and guide new and rising FMs in the industry; to enable them to engage with the Institute early in their career and to help them shape the industry and Institute for the future. The new SIG was formally launched at the BIFM London region’s New to Membership, New to Management event held on 10th October.

The group will hold a minimum of four networking events a year which will be open to all BIFM members. Two of the events will focus on topics that affect all FM’s, one will include a building tour and one will be solely for networking and socialising. It is also hoped that a member of the Rising FMs SIG will join each regional committee.
