Capita Services awards catering contract

7 Day Catering has has been awarded a new contract with Capita Services Birmingham for full hospitality provsion.

7 Day Catering have been awarded the contract to supply a full hospitality provision including restaurant, menu planning, supply, operations and vended service. A fully shopfitted vending service has also been installed as part of the contract, including a range of N&W’s machines including the Sfera, Astro and Starfood Vendor together with their latest tabletop coffee machine the Kobalto.

Capita Services Birmingham, a joint venture with Capita Group plc, and Birmingham City Council was created in 2006 to deliver a wide range of services to support the Council’s business transformation strategy to improve services to the people of Birmingham. With over 500 staff at the Birmingham site alone, the Capita Group boasts 27,800 staff working across a network of business centres in the UK, Channel Islands, Ireland and India. Today the Group is the leading business process outsourcer with a turnover of £1.7 billion.

7 Day Catering has a workforce of over 1,100 delivering full catering services to over 150 clients spread across the UK in the industry, business and higher education sectors.

Speaking on the appointment, Mark Johnson, sales director at 7 Day Catering said: “We’re passionate about what we do, and that passion is reflected in our creative flair, flexibility and above all integrity. This announcement further demonstrates our expertise, and I am confident that our team will be extremely effective and deliver successful results in the coming years.”
