Incentive to manage AMD UK HQ

Incentive FM, has been awarded the contract to manage the AMD UK head office in Frimley, Surrey. AMD are one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computer processing and video gaming hardware.

The contract has been awarded following Incentive FM’s decision to actively target businesses with ‘mid sized’ office buildings of between 15,000 and 30,000 sq ft – an area traditionally deemed unattractive by FM companies. This is the first time that AMD had contracted out its FM having previously operated with an in house team. Incentive FM will provide a service including security, cleaning, maintenance, vending, reception, stores management and upkeep of the grounds. These services are delivered using a combination of Incentive’s own staff and specialist sub-contractors, key objectives for the partnership with AMD are to maintain high service levels whilst reducing costs.

Charlotte Cross at AMD, said: “When our FM left we decided to take the opportunity to review key FM companies to see what they had to offer. We were impressed with Incentive FM throughout the tender process and we chose them because, quite simply, we believed in their ability to deliver on their promises. This was an important decision for us which we did not take lightly and we are confident that we have a good partner on board.”

Under the new contract Incentive FM has also introduced a web hosted help desk and asset management system (FACTS) to enable all senior personnel access to information about asset planning, management and service assessments and to further improve communication flows.

Jeremy Waud, Managing Director at Incentive FM said: “AMD is a prestigious client but at just 22,000sq ft the offices represent an area of business that many FM companies do not find attractive as they feel it is not economically viable. At Incentive FM we have identified this kind of ‘mid market’ sized business as a key target area.”
