19 May 2011
ISS moves up to number 2 while Sodexo retains third place for the third consecutive year.
ISS has been ranked no 2 on the latest International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) Global Outsourcing 100 list. Published in Fortune Magazine, the 2011 ranking from IAOP marks the fourth consecutive year of improvement for ISS. In 2008 the company was ranked no. 31, in 2009 it moved up to seventh, last year it was ranked sixth and this year it moved up four places to second spot.
Jeff Gravenhorst, CEO of ISS Group, said: ‘‘The fact that we have improved our ranking for the fourth straight year from no. 31 to no. 2 is a clear sign that our strategy, “The ISS Way” is moving our company in the right direction.”
Meanwhile, for the third consecutive year, Sodexo has been ranked third. Sodexo is the only company to have been ranked in the top five every year since 2006, the year that IAOP began publishing the Global Outsourcing 100.
The Global Outsourcing 100 list is designed to help companies compare and select service providers using an objective methodology. Providers are ranked according to a rigorously judged application process that examines 18 criteria. The final rankings are based on a weighted average of the judges’ scores of the company’s demonstrated competencies, size, growth, management capabilities and customer references.
