Sodexo appoints Simon Scrivens as MD of healthcare business

His priorities include establishing industry leading patient feeding, domestic services and retail offers as well as expanding Sodexo's delivery of integrated facilities management in both the NHS and private arenas.
He will lead the healthcare business to maintain Sodexo's reputation as an expert and strategic partner for clients in the NHS, private, seniors and home service markets. Sodexo is a significant player in the healthcare market and provides a wide range of services from patient feeding through to non-clinical services such as switchboard/help desk, cleaning, waste management and laundry, enabling its clients to focus on the clinical care of their patients.
On his appointment Scrivens said: "The healthcare market is changing and we now need to focus more on the whole patient experience, putting patients at the heart of everything we do. Sodexo has a vast resource and I am looking forward to further developing integrated offers for the wider healthcare market."
He joined Sodexo in 2007 to run Sodexo's food manufacturing business, TVF. He joined from Rentokil-Initial, his previous career having been in consumer goods manufacturing, where he spent eight years with Perkins Foods.
