Experts recommend active sitting

02 November 2012

An unusual range of seats, available in the UK from Verity, have recieved support about their level of support!

In line with their motto "We strengthen your back", testers from the Syndicate of Back Physiotherapists (Interessengemeinschaft der R├╝ckenschullehrer/innen e.V. (IGR)) have now subjected the active seats swopper, swoppster and muvman from aeris to thorough testing and have rated each seat as an "Ergonomic Product". In doing so they acknowledge the proven ergonomic advantages of the seats that were specially designed to counteract back ache through more movement by aeris, the active seat manufacturer from Munich.

The Syndicate of Back Physiotherapists performs its tests as "lawyer" for people with back problems. The testing is in several stages and is based on a proven combination of methods using objective and subjective criteria. The tests focus on usability and ergonomy. In addition, however, the manufacturing process, the foam suppliers and the textiles used are all included in the assessment. The IGR concentrates in particular on how well the product adapts to the physical characteristics of the test persons.

Recommendation for users
The swopper and swoppster 3D swivel stools as well as the muvman variable active seat for standing/sitting convinced the trained testers across the board. The aeris seats have already won many international awards and now with the IGR certificate have yet another recommendation signalling to the user that "with these products you are doing something good for your back and therefore essentially for yourself."
