Woods Building Maintenance acquired by B38 Group

07 January 2019

Specialist provider of outsourced contracting and FM services B38 Group has announced it has acquired Woods Building Maintenance for an undisclosed sum.

The move is intended to increase B38 Group's ability to self-deliver mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services across the Yorkshire area.

Founded by Jordan Woods in 2011, Woods Building Maintenance has an annual revenue stream of more than £1.5m, according to the statement.

B38 Group co-founder Richard Phillips said the increased ability to self-deliver would also include providing "a higher level of service".

"We are pleased to be working with Jordan Woods and look forward to our continued relationship as Jordan joins the team as head of operations," he said.

A provider of hard and soft services, B38 Group works with private sector clients and a growing number of blue chip organisations.

Its clients currently include organisations such as Nationwide Building Society, Virgin Group, Cromwell and a number of NHS primary care trusts.

It is headquartered in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, with annual revenues of nearly £15m and aims of "becoming one of the most highly regarded privately owned hard services maintenance companies in the country", it states.

New M&E contracts in excess of £12m in value were secured during the last financial quarter in 2018 and the company plans to move to new premises in central Wakefield next month.
