Enthusiastic reception for pre-PFM Awards networking evening

01 November 2018

Last night saw the first pre-PFM Awards networking evening, held at the SkyLounge bar of the Hilton DoubleTree hotel in London’s Tower Hill area.

Attendees to the informal networking event included PFM Awards judges, finalists and sponsors, resulting in an enthusiastic response from all present and providing a fitting start to the event’s 25th anniversary celebrations.

In addition to the many enjoyable and rewarding conversations during the evening, appreciation of the judging process was expressed by many for its continuing drive in delivering the highest levels of quality and integrity.

The special networking event was sponsored by Barclays, the PFM Awards Gold Sponsor, and among the many favourable comments were several stating the wish that it would be repeated next year.

In addition to two of this year’s Young Leader of the Year finalists, Luke Townsend from Engie and Rezki Karar from Sodexo, members of the Young Manager’s Forum (YMF) also attended.

The YMF is the organiser of the Young Leader category that saw Sodexo’s Kristian Trend also included on this year’s shortlist.

Winners of all PFM Awards categories will receive their trophies on the evening of 7 November at The Brewery London.

Barclays Corporate Banking director Terry Myatt was another attendee to the networking evening and told PFM: “Barclays are proud to sponsor the 25th annual PFM Awards and we look forward to presenting the Overall Winner award on the night.

“Facilities management has now been a rock-solid part of the UK economy for more than 30 years and in an ever-growing sector, supporting and developing your business has never been more important.”
