FM consolidation seen to be gathering pace following two more announcements

06 June 2018

Two more FM service providers have been purchased, following the news earlier this week of the Total Solutions Group purchase of TechServe Solutions and the Asset Solutions management buy out.

It was announced yesterday that First Response Group has bought the Robinsons M&E mechanical and electrical (M&E) business for an undisclosed sum.

Established in 1963 in Yorkshire and providing a wide range of hard services, the acquisition will provide First Response Group with a new range of options for clients currently using its soft service provisions.

The group has a £15m annual turnover, with eight branches nationwide, including London and Cardiff bases.

Templewood Services has also been on the acquisition trail to provide additional scope to its range of cleaning, hygiene, washroom and security services.

It has announced the purchase of LCC Support Services, the independent provider of specialist contract cleaning services.

Following the move, Bob Vincent was announced as the future non-executive chairman of LCC, who will work with Templewood Services chairman Harvey Soning for the foreseeable future.

The move creates a business with a combined turnover of £40m, employing approximately 3,000 people and providing soft services to more than 800 clients at over 1,000 locations around the UK.

It was stated that the merger of the two business will provide further opportunities for growth in the future.
