Latest FM consolidation move confirmed by FRG

17 May 2018

First Response Group (FRG) has confirmed that it has acquired Harrogate-based Robinson M & E for an undisclosed sum.

After completing the purchase of 100% of the share capital of its new group member, FRG said its annual turnover would increase to £25m as a result.

The deal forms part of a 10-year business plan to achieve growth both organically and through acquisitions, the company stated.

Led by FRG owners Jamal Tahlil and Edgar Chibaka, the acquisition will provide further expansion of its service offering.

Established in 1963, Robinson M & E provides a range of HVAC services and is headquartred in Bishop Thornton, Yorkshire.

Its recent projects include works for well-known names such as Saint-Gobain, the University of Leeds and The Fisher Care Group.

Founded in 2007, FRG provides nationwide services through eight branches, including Cardiff and London.

Describing the acquisition as an "exciting" development, Mr Chibaka said: "We wanted a business that fits seamlessly with our FM solutions company and Robinson M & E's exemplary client care record and varied portfolio have positioned it at the forefront of Yorkshire's commercial building services solutions, making it an ideal choice."
