Rexel UK becomes Carbon Trust Accredited Supplier

17 January 2018

Leading electrical distributor, Rexel, has successfully been appointed as a Carbon Trust ’Accredited Supplier’.

It was awarded the prestigious accreditation following an in-depth audit of its operating processes, together with the review of customer case studies and client references.

Rexel UK received the accolade for the design and supply of lighting and solar PV solutions.

Chris Gibson at Rexel UK said: “LED Lighting installation upgrades have been a strong area for the business for a number of years, and one which we have seen grow year-on-year.

"To have our track record in the design and supply of high-quality lighting and solar PV solutions recognised by The Carbon Trust really is testament to our commitment to supply our customers with the most innovative and efficient solutions available.

“In addition to making energy and cost savings with lighting upgrades, customers are able to make further savings by looking at the total energy opportunity of the building.

"Considering the whole picture can boost green credentials, hit energy saving targets and reduce costs more significantly than by just considering one technology alone.”

As part of the accreditation, Rexel UK has also been added to the Green Business Directory, which also manages the Green Business Fund.

The fund provides a number of accessible support packages to help small and medium-sized businesses in the UK identify energy saving opportunities within their business.

“Increased efficiencies are a focus for almost all businesses at the moment, with many companies now heavily committed to the ways in which they can further increase energy efficiency and sustainability credentials.

"Our accreditation to The Carbon Trust not only provides businesses looking to invest in energy-efficient lighting or solar PV solutions access to a range of market-leading products but also enables us to offer support to businesses in applying for funding, such as suggesting available financial contributions towards the cost of the installation and equipment” Chris Gibson concludes.
